Main Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs for juicier meat
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix or 3 tbsp homemade ranch mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz or 8 oz cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional, for topping
  • 1 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 1 tsp onion powder optional
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the chicken: Trim and pat dry the chicken, then season evenly with ranch mix, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Layer in crockpot: Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the crockpot. Place chicken on top, then spread cream of chicken soup or cream cheese over the chicken.
  • Cook: Cover and cook on Low for 6–7 hours or High for 3–4 hours until chicken is fully cooked and tender (165°F internal temperature).
  • Shred chicken: Use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crockpot. Stir well to coat with the creamy ranch sauce.
  • Add cheese (optional): Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and let it melt before serving.
  • Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, or with roasted veggies.

Notes

For a spicier version, add hot sauce, diced jalapeños, or pepper jack cheese.
For a low-carb option, serve over cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3–4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
