Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and cream cheese until creamy and smooth.
  • Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the butter mixture and blend until light and fluffy.
  • Crack in the egg and pour in the vanilla extract, then beat the mixture until well combined.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped fresh strawberries.
  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges turn lightly golden, then cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. For longer storage, freeze cookies for up to three months.
