Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb French loaf or pizza dough
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3-4 fresh garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unsalted butter and minced garlic. Melt for about 30 seconds and stir well.
  • Add Italian seasoning to the melted garlic butter.
  • Slice the French loaf in half lengthwise, or roll out pizza dough into a rectangle.
  • Brush the garlic butter mixture generously onto the cut side of the bread.
  • Pile on shredded mozzarella and sprinkle grated Parmesan over the top. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, let cool slightly, then slice and serve.

Notes

Use high-quality butter for better flavor. Experiment with different cheeses and toppings for variety. This dish can be prepared ahead of time and baked fresh for serving.
