Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until well combined.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the fresh blueberries.
  • Drop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spaced about two inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use ripe blueberries for the best flavor burst. Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies. Store your baked cookies in an airtight container for up to four days.
