Ingredients
  

  • 4 large fresh peaches
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp cinnamo
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup pecan or almond pieces (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Wash and cut the fresh peaches in half, removing the pit carefully.
  • In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • Place the peach halves cut side up in a greased baking dish and scatter any berries or nuts around them if using.
  • Spoon the brown sugar mixture generously over each peach half.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the peaches are soft and caramelized.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, either by themselves or with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. Experiment with spices or toppings to suit your taste.
